Create an organization
Creating an organization in Routix starts with registration. During registration you create the organization, choose language and region, and create the first branch. After that, you can complete the organization and branch details in their own screens.
Registration URL: /register
Steps
- Open /register .
- Enter the organization name and the name of the first branch.
- Choose language and region.
- On the second step, enter the first user details.
- Confirm the email address from the confirmation email.
- Log in and finish the organization and branch setup.
What you choose during registration
Registration sets the base structure. More detailed setup can be changed later in the organization and branch screens.
| Area | Description |
|---|---|
| Organization | The new Routix environment that is created |
| First branch | Created immediately and linked to the organization |
| Language | Default language for the first user |
| Region | Determines first-branch defaults such as currency, units and LDM/LF display |
| First user | Becomes the first administrator of the organization |
Region
During registration you choose a region together with the first branch. In practice, that region is used at branch level and determines the defaults of that first branch.
| Region | First-branch defaults |
|---|---|
EU | EUR as default currency and metric units |
US | USD as default currency and imperial units |
Consequences of your choice
- Currency default: new orders, quotations and financial lines start from the first branch currency.
- Metric vs imperial: weights, dimensions and logistics input follow the chosen region from the start.
- LDM and LF: in a metric setup you work with
LDM(loading meters) by default; in an imperial setup withLF(linear feet). - First branch setup: the onboarding wizard uses the region to create the initial branch with matching operational defaults.
- New environment defaults: sample data and first screens align with that regional setup.
- Branch override: this is only the starting point. You can later change these settings per branch when one branch works with another currency or unit system.
Pick the region that best matches your first branch. If you operate across countries or branches, you can fine-tune it later at branch level.
After registration: complete organization and branch
After registration, continue in this order:
- Edit the organization via /organizations to complete company details, address, branding and other organization-level fields.
- Edit the branch via /branches to adjust branch-specific defaults such as currency, region, units and operational settings.
- Then add extra branches or users where needed.
After setup
- Add master data that you use most: items, zones, tariffs.
- Configure sequence numbers so orders, shipments and invoices follow your numbering scheme.
- Adjust email templates per document type and language.
